Berlin, Md- Owner of Flamingo Road Cookie Company Kim Timmons is putting it on the line for the possibility of some serious exposure, and ten thousand dollars in cash as she has made her way to the quarter finals of the Greatest Baker Competition.

The contest is an online event where contestants compete nationally to earn the most votes, and looks to benefit the B-Positive (B+) foundation, which helps families that are dealing with childhood cancer.

We sat down with Kim who spoke more on how thankful she is to have made it this far in the contest:

“I’m just shocked I have made it this far. At this point it is a community contest. Because so many people have been supporting me through the whole contest.”

Kim said that if she were to win the contest, she would use the prize money to build a commercial kitchen for both herself, and other bakers in the community to use.

In addition to the cash prize, the winner will also have a meet and greet with Buddy Valastro of Cake Boss, and receive a photo shoot and write up in ‘Bake from Scratch’ magazine.
