Level 1 Driving Warning issued for Delaware
DOVER, Del. – The Delaware Emergency Management Agency has issued a Level 1 Driving Warning for the entire state overnight hours Tuesday into Wednesday.
This is due to the likelihood of icing on roads and bridges statewide overnight. Temperatures are expected to drop into the teens and single digits across the region.
DelDOT crews will continue treating roads and bridges overnight, however, rock salt becomes less effective when temperatures drop to 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
A Level 1 Driving Warning means drivers should exercise extra caution while on the roadways. Non-essential employees are encouraged to say off the roads unless necessary.
