Lake Forest wins close battle over Indian River

DAGSBORO, Del.-  Aniya Stevens drilled a three-pointer with 35 seconds left to break a 36-all tie and give Lake Forest their third win in a row to move them to 10-2 on the year.

Lake Forest led 29-28 with 5:30 to go in the game before Zion McKnight hit a three to push the lead to four.  Jayla Hudson responded with a bucket over the defense for IR but then McKnight hit another 3 to make it a five-point game. Then Indian River scored five straight points to tie it up with 35 seconds left to go. Then Stevens drilled the game-winner to put away Indian River. IR moves to 6-5 on the season with the loss.
