SEAFORD, Del. – A 42-year-old woman was arrested for felony theft in Seaford after stealing a couple’s car and pawning stolen antique silverware.

Police say Jacklyn Thompson met an older man and his wife at church, who allowed Thompson and her two kids to stay with them after finding out they were suffering from homelessness.

Thompson was initially allowed to use the couple’s vehicle but ignored the owner’s requests to return it.

Delaware State Police arrested her in New Castle County and took her to Troop 2 where she was charged and released on a $2000 unsecured bond.
