Harriet Tubman coin hitting the Eastern Shore

Harriet Tubman $20 Bill

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The Harriet Tubman Museum and entertainment center will be getting the brand new Harriet Tubman coins that are printed by the US Mint.

The coins will be coming in the next couple of weeks. There will be three silver coins and two gold coins hosting the abolitionist’s image.

The coins will have a value of 50 cents, one dollar and five dollars.

The coins will benefit the Harriet Tubman Home and Museum.

“Harriet Tubman represents freedom.”

“She was a true American who showed faith, courage and community and love, and we believe she belongs on these coins.”

Harris says now that the coins have Harriet Tubman’s face, she is hoping that the twenty dollar bill will also be changed being that it was promised years ago.
