Good Morning Delmarva discusses the new Talbot Works Business Academy

47ABC – The Talbot County Department of Economic Development and Tourism has a new business training program you can join this year.

This morning, the Director Cassandra M. Vanhooser, stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to share more about how you can sign up.

Vanhooser tells us the online program is called Talbot Works Business Academy and it’s focused on minority businesses.

The program starts on February 6th and is free!

Cassandra says it’s important to support minority businesses as they make a big impact on the eastern shore’s economy.

She says the business owners can expect to be trained by an expert for 8 weeks and they’ll discuss a variety of topics.

They only require that the business have at least two years under its belt and that it has not made more than $1.5 million.

Vanhooser says this program is all about growth.
