Farmers look forward to Doe Harvest Challenge Raffle

MARYLAND. – Farmers from across the four counties have been adding participants names to the pot.

There will be a drawing, held Monday. Three tickets will be drawn from each county. Winners will receive $1,000.

Farmer Lingin Spicer said he’s looking forward to drawing day, because it will help get the word out on the initiative, and hopefully encourage more people to participate in the harvest challenge next year.

“It tells us whether we’ve been successful with our efforts or not,” Lingin said. “It also tells us, are we encouraging? Are we helping? Are we bringing the youth into the sport?”

The drawing will take place at 6:30PM at the Delmar Diner in Maryland.
