Dorchester County Public Schools to host third annual scholarship fair

DORCHESTER COUNTY, Md. – The Dorchester County Public School district is gearing up for its third annual scholarship fair, next Wednesday.

The event is geared towards high school seniors exploring post-secondary education options, but underclassmen are welcome to attend.

Supervisor of school counseling, LaSina Branch, said students who attend the event will have the opportunity to kick off their networking journey with mentors, as well as gain a full scope of all the available options for college funding.

“We’re always preparing for what you’re going to do next, so this is an opportunity for us to show them that we are committed to making sure they have the resources they need to finance whatever that post-secondary option is going to be,” Branch said.

Branch is urging all students who are able, especially seniors, to attend the scholarship fair. If you do decide to go, she added you should dress to impress.
