SALISBURY, Md. – TidalHealth Peninsula Regional teams and the Salisbury Fire Department worked on a decontamination situation at the ambulance entrance Thursday afternoon.

We’re told three civilians and six to seven EMS personnel were treated following a chemical explosion at a Pocomoke City industrial plant Thursday afternoon. Fire crews and some outside agencies were brought in to set up decontamination operations, as patients could not enter the ER beforehand.

None of the injuries are reported to be life-threatening.

Salisbury Fire Chief Rob Frampton told 47 ABC that operations at the hospital were not impacted.

TidalHealth says the scene was cleared just after 3 p.m.
