Berlin woman charged in connection to September theft

MILLSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police have charged a Berlin woman in connection to a theft incident in September.

During the afternoon hours of September 17th, troopers responded to a residence in the 26000 block of Flying Bridge Court in Millsboro for a reported theft. A 68-year-old woman met with police and reported that her purse, containing personal items and money, had been stolen from her residence.

Through further investigation, police identified 63-year-old Beatrice Therres as the suspect. On December 23rd, troopers learned that Therres was in custody in Maryland.

Therres was extradited to Maryland on Wednesday and charge with theft less than $1500 where victim is older than 62 years of age. She was later released on her own recognizance.
