Berlin Chamber of Commerce to host first-ever ‘Financial Literacy Series’

 

BERLIN, Md.- For the first time ever, the Berlin Chamber of Commerce will host a Financial Literacy Series to help connect local entrepreneurs with resources to grow their businesses.

Over the course of 9 weeks, the free series will cover a variety of topics from basic bookkeeping, understanding financial statements, social media marketing, and more. Sessions will be conducted by a variety of financial experts from Bank of America to Bradley Atlantic Insurance.

Executive Director Ryan Nellans said they’re in the business of helping businesses and that the objective was to create a mini semester of valuable business information tailored to local small business to help them thrive.

He added that they want their members to get the most from their memberships while also supporting local entrepreneurs. “If we can be a vehicle for condensing and creating a curriculum for that, that’s something that will improve a number of small local business and make them more resilient,” Nellans said.

Those classes will start up weekly beginning February 1st and are open to all. Breakfast and coffee will be provided for those who attend. Classes will be offered at 14 S. Main St. If you’d like to register, click here
