Bennett holds off late Snow Hill rally

SALISBURY, Md. – Bennett survived a late surge by Snow Hill, winning 73-64 in from of their home crowd Tuesday evening.

The Clippers built a staggering 24-point advantage with 3:28 remaining in the third quarter, but there was no quit in the visiting Eagles.

Four 3-pointers, combined with stifling defense that led to fast-break baskets, cut that lead to 18 to end the third, then to just six in the waning minutes of the fourth.

Zakai Smullen led the way for Bennett with 21 points, while Jace Hudson had 18.

Jayden Hudson had 21 points to lead Snow Hill.
