Attempted robbery under investigation in Dover

DOVER, Del. – An attempted robbery is under investigation in Dover.

At around 6 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the unit block of Ridgley Street and met with the 34-year-old female victim. The victim reported that she was outside of a residence when she was approached by a man wearing all black who allegedly pulled out a black handgun and demanded that the victim turn over property. The victim did not comply and immediately called 911, at which time the suspect ran in a westbound direction.

The suspect is described as a man, approximately 6’0, 180 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt, and black pants.
