AARP free tax prep program now accepting applications

DELMARVA – The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program is now accepting appointments for the tax season.

The free service prioritizes seniors and low-income individuals but is open to all. AARP membership is not required.

The program is returning in-person this year and volunteers urge those interested to make appointments, adding they anticipate seeing thousands of clients over the stretch of the season.

Individuals should come with their identification information and all current tax documents for federal and state filing. “We’ve got more volunteers this year than we’ve had in the past. We’re looking to serve many more clients and hopefully getting to some of those in the more outreaching areas than we are currently,” Volunteer Bob Long said.

Tax Aide volunteers serve Ocean Pines, Ocean City, Salisbury, and Pocomoke.

To make an appointment, call (443)-373-2667.
