Wreaths Across America making its way to Wicomico County

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Perdue sponsored the annual Wreaths Across America event at the Civic Center in Wicomico County, where soldiers and community members honored the fallen who sacrificed their lives for their country.

Jeff Merrit, Founder of Operation We Care, spoke at the event where wreaths were placed on the memorials of soldiers whose home was in Wicomico County.

On the third Saturday of December, National Wreaths Across America Day is to remember and honor all fallen heroes by wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 4,000 plus locations across the country.

“We just want to remember their names and honor their service.”

Perdue Driver Keith Clark also served his country, and he says, “I believe in this country, these fallen heroes have sacrificed everything for this country and I want to support those families during the holiday season.”

Wreaths Across America will be honoring fallen heroes at Parsons Cemetery this Saturday.
