USPS holiday shipping deadline
MARYLAND- With Christmas now just 5 days away the Unites States Postal Service wants to remind those who may have procrastinated that there is still time for your gifts and holiday cards to arrive on Christmas.
December 20th was the final day to send out parcels via priority mail, however if you visit a post office on December 21st and choose the priority mail express option the USPS will get your package delivered by Christmas day.
Depending on the distance that package needs to travel, there may even be wiggle room.
“I still encourage our customers get those cards in the mail. Especially in the Salisbury area. If they are being mailed close by, we’re going to get them there by Christmas.” Says USPS Communications specialist Mark Wahl.
He also encouraged to send out holiday cards even if they will not arrive by Christmas, as its the message that’s important.
If you are interested in sending a letter or package and want to find an estimated time of arrival, you can find that information on the USPS website.
