Two Eastern Shore projects slated to receive funding through State Revitalization Program

MARYLAND – Several programs on Maryland’s Eastern Shore are slated to receive funding to support community development projects and activities.

Governor Wes Moore announced the $63.7 million funding on Wednesday as part of the Fiscal Year 2024 State Revitalization Program Awards.

As part of the Strategic Development Fund, funding is being allotted for the construction of the SBY Market Center in Wicomico County. The market center will be a mixed-use development of housing and ground floor commercial space that will extend the City’s Riverwalk area, upgrading the river’s bulkhead, and improving the streetscape.

Additionally, Community Legacy is awarding money for stabilization of the Town Hall in the Town of Goldsboro to provide safe public access and more effective town governance. We’re told this project will support and enhance programming for seniors and youth, government functions, and business development activities.
