Students showcase their projects at Latin American and Latinx Symposium

SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University held its third Latin American and Latinx symposium, Saturday.

The event showcases the semester-long projects that SU students have been working on, about Latin American and Latinx topics.

Senior Ximena Pedroza-Acosta presented her project to professors and peers. She said all of the work put into it paid off, especially being able to showcase all of the vibrancy surrounding her Latin American culture.

“We tend to focus on the violence and the bad. There’s so much more that people need to learn about, and we need to showcase the differences Latin American countries have to offer,” Pedroza-Acosta said.

She adds that since she is a senior, her presentation today was a great way to end her second to last semester.
