Seaford home heavily damaged in weekend fire

SEAFORD, Del. – An investigation is underway following a weekend house fire in Seaford.

The fire was reported shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 5000 block of Boyce Road. Crews with the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department and mutual aid companies battled the blaze in the two-story farmhouse style home.

Delaware State Fire Marshals are working to determine the cause of the fire. No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported. Total damage has been estimated at $250,000.
