Salisbury University gears up for third Latin American and Latinx Symposium
SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University is putting students researching Latin American and Latinx issues in the spotlight tomorrow.
The Latin American and Latinx Symposium puts students on the stage. They will present research projects about Latin culture that they’ve been working on all semester long.
Language professor, Ethel Barja Cuyutupa, said it’s the perfect opportunity to let the students take the lead, while the professors get to learn a thing or two from them.
“We are creating new traditions in Spanish at Salisbury University,” Barja Cuyutupa said. “We are also enabling students to have a safe space, where they can build community together and they can have a contact beyond the classroom.”
The event will be held tomorrow from 9:30AM to 3:30PM in Perdue Hall.
