Salisbury man found guilty of armed robbery

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man has been found guilty by a Wicomico County jury of armed robbery and other related charges.

During the early evening hours of April 20, 2023, 54-year-old Milton Harmon Jr. went into the Hampton Inn in Fruitland. In the vestibule of the hotel, Harmon masked his face with a bandana before approaching the front desk clerk and demanding money while armed with a fixed blade knife. After taking the cash, Harmon fled toward the area of North Dulaney Avenue in Fruitland while discarding items of evidence. Police found the discarded items with the assistance of K-9 units. Harmon was found approximately 30 minutes after the incident and was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

Harmon was found guilty following a one-day trial on Wednesday. He remains in custody pending sentencing.
