Pair arrested after drugs found during traffic stop
OCEAN VIEW, Del. – Two people were arrested following a traffic stop in Ocean View on Monday.
The investigation began when officers saw a vehicle being driven by 34-year-old Deandre White, who was known to have a suspended driver’s license and warrants for his arrest due to probation violations. A police K-9 reportedly alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading police to find an unknown amount of heroin and cash.
A search warrant was obtained for White’s home, which was raided at around 5 p.m. Monday. During the search, police found more heroin in a room occupied by a minor child.
White was arrested and charged with numerous drug possession charges, endangering the welfare of a child, driving while suspended or revoked, and three counts of violation of probation. He was held at SCI on a $36,410 cash bail.
Additionally, police charged 32-year-old Julie Clemens with possess/consume a controlled or counterfeit substance and endangering the welfare of a child. She was later released.
