One injured in Dover convenience store shooting, police investigating
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a shooting that injured one early Saturday morning.
Just after 5:30 a.m., police say they responded to a reported shooting at the Wawa located at 1450 Forrest Avenue. Officers found the 45-year-old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was subsequently taken to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment.
Further investigation revealed that the victim was walking to his vehicle after leaving the store when he heard gunshots and realized that he had been shot.
No suspect description is available at this time.
