Millsboro home damaged in accidental fire

MILLSBORO, Del. – A Millsboro home was damaged in a fire Friday morning.

Just after 11 a.m., firefighters responded to the 32000 block of Robin Hoods Loop for a reported house fire. Crews from multiple area fire departments battled the blaze.

Fire marshals determined that the fire was accidental in nature and was caused by an unknown malfunction at a recently parked riding lawnmower. The house was occupied at the time of the fire, but all occupants were able to escape without injury.

No other injuries were reported. Total damage is estimated at $250,000.
