Milford woman charged with resisting arrest during traffic stop in Felton

FELTON, Del. – A Milford woman was hauled off in handcuffs after police say she resisted arrest during a traffic stop in Felton.
According to Felton Police, the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 22, during a traffic stop on Route 13. Officers stopped a vehicle for a registration violation and found that the driver, identified 25-year-old Amanda Donohue, was allegedly acting in an abnormal manner.
During the investigation, police say Donohue was disorderly and uncooperative, refusing to get out of the vehicle. A short struggle ensued and she was taken into custody without further incident.
Donohue was transported to the Felton Police Department where she was charged with Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor), and 3 traffic related charges consisting of Failure to have Required Insurance (Misdemeanor), Expired Tags (Violation) and Failure to have License in Possession (Violation). She was released on her own recognizance pending a later court date.
