Laurel Elementary School gearing up for annual Winter Fest
LAUREL, Del.- Games, food, caroling, and Santa Claus; that’s what you can expect for Laurel Elementary School’s annual Winter Festival.
The school is joined by several different community organizations to make this possible, including The Laurel Community Foundation. They will be selling goodies to benefit the school’s Hope House 1 and 2.
There will also be a silent auction and money raised going right back in the school to support students and staff.
Organizers also say the event is a great way to bring the community together. “The Laurel community really over the past year has been faced with a lot of challenges and very tragic events and I do believe this is a community school,” Principal Matthew Brady said.
“This is just one event the community can come out, be safe, and have some fun.”
The event is on Monday, December 18th from 6-8 p.m.
