Jayden Hudson records 1,000th point in win over Central
SALISBURY, Md.– Snow Hill defeated Sussex Central in a final score of 75-61 on day 4 of the Governors Challenge.
Snow Hill got off to a hot start against Central, taking a 18-10 lead at the end of the 1st. The Golden Knights and the Eagles both dropped 19 points in the 2nd quarter but the Snow Hill went into the locker room with the lead.
In the 3rd quarter Jayden Hudson completed a milestone many high school athletes have not completed, scoring 1,000 career points. Hudson was honored at mid-court during the 3rd. The Golden Knights almost mounted the comeback but Snow Hill would hold on in the end.
Top scorers for Snow Hill:
Tyler Reddick finished with 22 points. He shot 4-7 from the field, and 14-15 from the free throw line.
Ke’Andre Nixon scored 18 points. He shot 6-17 from the field, and 5-6 from the free throw line.
Top scorers for Central:
Cam’Ron Purnell scored 16 points. He shot 6-12 from the field, and 4-5 from the free throw line.
Damian Robinson scored 10 points, shot 4-7 from the field, 2-3 from the free throw line, and 4 rebounds.
