Hundreds of toys donated to Ocean City Fire Department

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The Ocean City Fire Department is excited to announce a large toy donation. The department will be distributing the donated toys to families in need.

The donation came from the Eastern Shore “Proud Old Timers.” The organization is made up of EMS retirees, and theywanted to share the hundreds of gifts they received to spread the Christmas spirit to everyone in Ocean City.

The Ocean City Fire Chief says they have received gifts for boys and girls of all ages. “It is very rewarding to the family and the child to be able to see them before any emergency, and bring a little bit of happiness into their life one day during the year,” said Chief Richard Bowers.

The chief wants everyone to know that all of the gifts are being distributed to families privately.
