Holiday Travel at the Salisbury Airport

SALISBURY, Md. – If you are looking to book a flight for the holidays out of the Salisbury Airport, be sure to do it sooner rather than later.

Tomorrow is expected to be the busiest travel day of the year as people across the United States are flying to see their families for the holidays.

SBY Airport Director Tony Rudy says their flights are almost full. Passengers are advised to allow themselves at least an extra hour of time for bags to be checked prior to take off

“They will cut off the flight forty five minutes ahead of time for baggage.”

“It takes some time to process the bags, screen the bags, load them on the aircraft and get the passengers on the aircraft.”

Rudy says the airport does not do point to point flying, but flies through the Charlotte and Philadelphia airports.
