Holiday travel: AAA tips to make sure you get to your destination safely

DELMARVA – If you plan on hitting the road for holiday travel, AAA has tips to make sure you get to your final destination safely.

Keeping a close eye on your vehicle in the days leading up to your trip can help save you the headache of it breaking down en route. AAA spokesperson, Ragina Ali, said you should do a final inspection of your car before a long drive, to ensure it’s ready for the journey ahead.

“AAA is projecting that 2.3 million Marylanders will be traveling during the holidays. A vast majority of them, more than 2 million of them, will be driving to their holiday destinations, so we always like to remind drivers before they head out that their car is road ready,” Ali said.

You should also check your car battery and tire pressure before putting it in drive.
