Fire heavily damages St. Michaels Wastewater Treatment facility
ST. MICHAELS, Md. – State fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a Wastewater Treatment Facility in Talbot County Sunday night.
Shortly before 11:30 p.m., firefighters responded to the facility at E. Marengo Street for a reported fire. Over 30 firefighters battled the blaze for nearly 90 minutes before it was brought under control.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. Total damage has been estimated at $350,000.
