Dover dominates their Bayside rivals in first game at Governors Challenge

SALISBURY, Md. – Dover dominated the Bennett Clippers, 83-44, in their opening game of the 2023 Governors Challenge.

The Senators (4-0) shot 54-percent from the field for the game while outscoring their opponents 25-8 in the second quarter, and 25-1 in the fourth quarter.

Dorell Little scored 25 points on 11/18 shooting for Dover.

Jay’Vion Denis contributed 18 points with 5 rebounds in 16 minutes of work.

Dover dominated in the paint, outscoring Bennett 54-30 for the game.

Bennett was led by Jace Hudson’s 13 points.

The Clippers struggled from the charity stripe, making 9-of-25 attempts. They also struggled from long range, knocking down just one of ten shots from beyond the arc.
