UPDATE: One dead in Cambridge shooting, investigation continuing

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Dorchester County.

Shortly before 8 a.m. Monday, officers with the Cambridge Police Department responded to the 600 block of Bradley Avenue for a reported shooting. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, identified as 36-year-old Taron Jones, was found suffering from at least one apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

We’re told detectives have identified a person of interest in this case, and there is no threat to the public at this time.
