Deactur’s defense stymies Laurel; Seahawks win by 41 points

SALISBURY, Md.- Stephen Decatur defeats Laurel 53-12 on Day 3 of the 2023 Governors Challenge. Decatur owned it from the opening tip-off, leading 19-2 after the first quarter. Laurel didn’t score their third point until the third quarter. Jozlyn Tyre led Decatur with 16 points and Allison Swift added a 12-point 10 rebound double-double. Decatur was active defensively, racking up 25 steals and forcing Laurel into 37 turnovers overall.
