Court rules on hiring of Wicomico Co. Assistant Director of Administration

WICOMICO CO., Md. – The court has ruled that there was no issue in the hiring of the Assistant Director of Administration in Wicomico County.

We’re told the court ruled that Matthew Leitzel was legally appointed to the position of Assistant Director of Administration following the guidelines of the Wicomico County Charter. As his appointment was handled correctly, he will return to his position without any interruption of his salary.

The legislative bill that the County Council passed for the elimination of the budgetary line allocation for the position has been stricken and severed in regard to Leitzel.
