Cambridge man arrested, charged in connection to September arson
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A Cambridge man has been arrested for arson in connection to a fire earlier this year.
The September 23rd incident at 406 Muir Street was determined to be the result of arson. Following a three month investigation conducted by Deputy State Fire Marshals, 31-year-old Roberto O’Donald Gross was identified as a suspect.
Gross was located and arrested on Wednesday and has been charged by Deputy State Fire Marshals with first and second degree arson, first and second degree malicious burning, third and fourth degree burglary, and two counts of attempted manufacture of a destructive device.
Gross is being held without bond. If found guilty of all charges, he faces a maximum penalty of 144.5 years in prison and/or $145,500 in fines.
