Bycen Coleman wins 2A Football Player of the Year; Multiple Bayside Players Headline 1A and 2A All-State Team
EASTERN SHORE, Md.- The 2023 Maryland High School Football All-State Teams feature multiple bayside players. In the 2A, the reigning state champs Decatur Seahawks had five players make the 2A All-State Team. Brycen Coleman was named the 2A Player of The Year. Decatur also had Trybe Wise, Gavin Solito, Brogan Eastlack, and Garrett Maloney make the 2A All-State Team. Jake Coleman was named the 2A Coach of the Year.
North Caroline’s Zymear Smith and Tommy Morris, Kent Island’s Shane Bogardus and Giusseppi Mellinger and Queen Anne’s Jai Roy and Zach Blanchard all made the team.
Cambridge South Dorchester placed two players on the 1A All-State Team, Quarterback Blake LaBelle and Defensive Back Darian Belizaire. Snow Hill Wide Receiver Zyheem Collick rounded out the bayside placement on the 1A All-State Team.
