Business owners come together to create holiday one-stop-shop

SALISBURY, Md. -The countdown to Christmas is on and people are rushing to get their last-minute shopping done.

Local Black owned businesses teamed up to make holiday shopping a little more convenient, by bringing their goods to the Plaza.

Owner of Jamie’s Closet, Jamie Jenkins, wanted to give fellow Black business owners a spotlight, while also creating a one-stop- shop for consumers to get some of their holiday shopping done.

Jenkins said it was the perfect opportunity for vendors to showcase their goods to buyers.

“I feel like sometimes they don’t get an effort to get out there and get into the community and let people know that they have items that they are selling,” Jenkins said. “A lot of them do a lot of social media, but not a lot of in person, so I think that it’s best that they have something periodically where they can come out and do in person visits.”

Jenkins added she hopes to bring more events like Saturday’s to the community.
