Blood Bank of Delmarva celebrates National Blood Donor Month, encourages public to donate
DELMARVA. – January is just a few days away, and a local blood bank is calling on you to kick off the new year, by giving back.
January marks National Blood Donor Month and the Blood Bank of Delmarva is hoping to receive some much-needed blood donations, to send to hospitals on the Delmarva Peninsula.
Blood Bank of Delmarva’s communication specialist, Tony Prado, said having a national month of recognition is important, because it encourages folks to get out a donate.
“While people may be tempted to hunker down by the fire and drink hot chocolate, we still need people to come out and donate blood at one of our five donor centers on the Delmarva Peninsula, or at a blood drive that’s convenient for you,” Prado said.
