Bennett falls to Salesianum in Governors Challenge
SALISBURY, Md. – The Bennett Clippers lose a close game to Salesianum 78-67 on Day 4 of the Governors Challenge.
The Clippers stayed close to the defending DIAA state champions during the first three quarters. Bennett only trailed by five to enter the fourth quarter. But in the fourth quarter, the five-point deficit doubled leading to an eleven-point loss. Jace Hudson led the way with 29 points and 3 three-pointers. Zakai Smullen had 15 points and 10 rebounds while Darrion Collins added 14 points but they couldn’t get enough stops to win the game.
Salesianum had three players score over 19 points to lead the balanced scoring.
