Attendees get into the holiday spirit at the annual Ocean City Christmas parade
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean city ditched Santa’s sleigh and put him on a motorcycle, parading him and dozens of other floats, big cars and even some little cars, for all to see.
The annual Ocean City Christmas Parade seems to bring the little kid out of everyone, no matter the age.
“I love the motorcycles. I love Santa clause– instead of driving the sleigh, he’s riding a hawk,” said attendee, Lonnie Vick.
And while some had their eye on Santa’s cool ride, others had their eye on the floats.
“The things that I like the best have been the kids and the bands,” said attendee, Sarah Jones.
Vick and his wife made the drive all the way from the western Maryland to catch the grinch on a good day, and make a memory that’ll last a life time.
“This is my first time being at the parade,” Vick said.
“I want to celebrate Ocean City; I want to celebrate all the participants. After the last two to three years, the city the city needs something to enlighten the visitors and residents, and I’m hoping everybody next year comes back to Ocean City for this parade.”
