Attempted robbery under investigation at Dover Royal Farms

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a local convenience store.

Just before midnight Wednesday, officers responded to the Royal Farms on South DuPont Highway for a reported robbery. The employee met with police and reported that a man wearing a mask and black beanie walked into the store and demanded he turn over cigarettes without paying for them. The suspect then reportedly threatened the victim and a manager intervened, at which point the suspect fled in a black Jeep with unknown registration.

There are no leads at this time.
