Woodbridge wins Class 2A District 3 Championship

GREENWOOD, Del.– Woodbridge defeated Delmar in a final score of 34-6 to win the class 2a district 3 championship on Friday night.

Delmar came right out the gate and punched Woodbridge in the mouth with a rushing TD from Brandon Turner. The Wildcats would go into the 2nd quarter with a 6-0 lead, and that’s when Woodbridge would take over.

Senior running back Traci Johnson would get a TD on a 4th down to tie it up at 6-6. The BlueRaiders would score 14 unanswered points right before halftime to make it 20-6.

Traci Johnson would find the end zone 2 more times in the 2nd half to increase the Raiders league. The district 3 championship is the programs 5th and the 2nd of head coach Marvin Dooley.
