Upcoming forum connects Delaware voters with candidates

DOVER, Del – Delaware voters will soon have a chance to hear from a variety of candidates. The Dover Chapter of The Links Incorporated will be hosting a Delaware Candidates Forum.

The event will feature 11 candidates running for U.S. Congress, Governor, and Lieutenant Governor.

Member Rev. Dr. Erika D. Crawford said social action and community engagement is at the heart of what their organization does. She added that the forum gives voters the opportunity to come face-to face with political leaders. “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to direct the narrative and to have the questions asked that are most important to us and the matters heard that are important to us,” Crawford said.

“It speaks to their intentionality to meet our community. They could be anywhere, but they carved out opportunities in their schedule to be here to meet us, hear from us, and engage us.”

That event will be Thursday, November 2nd at the Mount Zion AME Church located at 101 N. Queen St. in Dover.

The event start time is 6:30 p.m.
