Upcoming forum connects business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs with local resources

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs will soon have the opportunity to get connected with local resources thanks to the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce.

The organization is hosting a Small Business Forum where you can get in on sessions covering a variety of topics including recruitment, banking, insurance, and more.

Executive director Amy Thompson said they’re in the business of supporting businesses and always aim to promote growth. Thompson added that the Worcester County small business community is often considered the small business capital of Maryland due to its strong tourism industry.

She also gave us insight on what attendees will walk away with. “It’s

going to be pretty fast paced and it’s going to be interactive. I’ve given my speakers 30-minute time slots to give the information and let people talk to them in a Q&A style. People will walk out the door with really practical tools they can use immediately,” Thompson said.

The event will be held next Tuesday, November 14th at Fenwick Inn from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Early registration is encouraged. The cost to attend is $20 for chamber members and $25 for non-members.
