UPDATE: Two Dover Air Force Base schools evacuated due to bomb threat

12:50 p.m. UPDATE: The bomb threat was terminated just before 12:30 p.m.

We’re told no credible threat was found. Students have been released for pickup from the youth center.

DOVER, Del. – A bomb threat is under investigation at Maj. George S. Welch Elementary School in Dover.

We’re told the threat came in at around 9:50 a.m. As a result, Welch Elementary and Dover Air Base Middle School were immediately evacuated. All students are reportedly safe and have been accounted for.

Officials say the 436th Security Forces Squadron arrived at the scene at 10:10 a.m.

The incident remains under investigation.
