Snow Hill to host public forum on recreational marijuana

Snow Hill, Md- The town of Snow Hill will be hosting a public forum so residents may speak up for any questions, concerns, or ideas they have concerning recreational marijuana in the town.

This comes after the town enacted a nine month moratorium on recreational marijuana.

We spoke to Town Manager Rick Pollitt to learn more on the importance of this forum: “You know none of us have anything like this in our zoning ordinances. We don’t have any standards as to where and when its appropriate to get engaged in this activity on the legal side of things. So its important for use to find out just what does our community think about the whole thing…”

Following this forum the town intends to schedule a meeting where they will host qualified experts to address concerns and questions that will be brought up.

While no date has been set for that follow up meeting Pollitt says that a date later in the winter is likely.

The public forum will be held at the old firehouse on Green Street in Snow Hill at 6:30 p.m on November 28th.
