DELMARVA – It was a record-breaking year for the annual Shore Gives More campaign, bringing in upwards of $310,000 for local nonprofits this Giving Tuesday.

Those donations were spread amongst 129 organizations, which was also another milestone.

The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore told us those strong numbers bring great momentum as the campaign will celebrate its 10-year anniversary next year.

Looking beyond Giving Tuesday, CFES President Erica Joseph said there are still many ways they stay connected with those nonprofits. “We have our own funding opportunities and grant applications that organizations can submit. We also do a variety of training and capacity building so there’s a chance for us to connect one on one,” Joseph said.

“All of these folks have contributed online, and some have expressed interest in volunteering because that’s one of the features the platform allows so more people can get involved.”

Although Giving Tuesday is over, you can still get involved with a cause that matters to you.
