Seaford man dead and another hospitalized following crash

DELMAR, Del. – The Delaware State Police are investigating a single-car fatal crash that occurred Saturday night in Delmar.

Police say a white 2006 Cadillac STS was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Whitesville Road when the driver failed to maintain control of the car, causing the car to spin and slide off the roadway.

After siding off the roadway, the Cadillac reportedly hit multiple trees and continued spinning, at which time the front right passenger was ejected from the car.

A 35-year-old man from Seaford, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family and relatives are notified.

The passenger, a 31-year-old woman from Seaford, Delaware, was flown to an area trauma hospital, where she was admitted for life-threatening injuries.
