UPDATE: Seaford house fire under investigation

 

SEAFORD, Del. – Delaware fire marshals are investigating a house fire that broke out Monday afternoon.

Just after 1 p.m., firefighters and paramedics responded to the 400 block of Highland Drive in Seaford for a reported house fire. Crews from mutual aid fire companies also responded to assist with the 2-alarm blaze, which took approximately two hours to control and clear.

Delaware State Fire Marshals also responded to the scene to investigate. We’re told the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The home was not occupied at the time, and no injuries were reported. Total damage has been estimated at $300,000.
